Brigid's Cross Made From Raffia
Brigid's Cross made from Raffia!
Simply follow the weaving instructions here and when weaving is completed, fold the ends back over themselves and tie. Simple, quick and pretty!
One of the ways I celebrate Brigid's Day/Groundhog Day, Candlemas, Mid-winter is not to look for shadows or the lack thereof, but rather to search the garden for signs that the earth is awakening and spring is indeed going to return.
Not much is going on out there, that is for sure! But my tulips are popping through the soil,
Monk's Hood is eagerly sprouting it's first leaves,
and the Bleeding Hearts - especially this one - are pushing their little noses through the leaf debris.
Happy Brigid's Day! Happy Groundhog Day! Happy Mid-winter! Happy Candlemas!
It's so thrilling to see life
It's so thrilling to see life poking out of the ground! Here in Iowa, the ground is still covered in a couple feet of snow. Your photos give me hope though! Love the Brigid's cross:)
Oh Bobbi I can not believe
Oh Bobbi I can not believe the weather you have been having - and more to come - another big dark purple dip from the arctic showing up on the weather maps. We are expecting very cold temperatures and possibly snow here as well so I hope my brave little plants make it.
How beautiful! I love it! :)
